The doctoral scholarships will be awarded for three years starting from December 2022. Scholarship holders will receive a monthly funding of €1,450 (€1,350 basic grant + €100 research grant). Moreover, health insurance grants can be granted up to €100 and additional family bonuses can also be granted if applicable. The maximum funding period is 3 years. Decisions about entitlement to funding are based in conformity with the guidelines of the BMBF and the selection criteria of the HBS. Potential applicants are required to have an above average final degree as well as voluntary commitment for social-political organizations or trade unions.

Submit your application using the online application portal of the Hans Böckler Foundation (application portal opens from February 15, 2022) with the required documents and an exposé (max. 3-5 pages) outlining the doctoral research project before the deadline (May 31, 2022). Please indicate in your application the research area that you are interested in.
