The master’s degree programme in Medieval and Post-Medieval Archaeology can be studied part-time.

Studying part-time offers students with children, part-time jobs, disabilities or chronic illnesses in particular the opportunity to reduce their workload during the semester and, as a result, extend the duration of their studies.

The duration of the bachelor’s degree programme is extended from six semesters to 12 semesters when studied part time. For master’s degree programmes, the duration of study increases from three or four semesters to six or eight.

You may enrol in a degree programme part-time without justifying your decision. You may also switch from a full-time model to a part-time model during any semester’s enrolment period. This reduces the workload in each semester by half.

Part-time studies are subject to the part-time study regulations (in German).

Please find further information on studying part time on the university’s central pages.
