New Lecture: Geographic Information Systems

Starting in winter term 2026/27, we offer the bachelor lecture "Geoinformationssysteme" (AI-GeoInf-B).

The lecture introduces the foundations of geoinformatics, from geometry, maps, and spatial databases to spatial analysis, mobility, remote sensing, and smart cities. It focuses on web-based technologies, open geodata, and current AI methods for spatial data. Accompanying exercises put the content into practice with concrete tools. The course is taught in German.

Remark: The lecture continues the former module KInf-GeoInf-B of the Chair of Applied Computer Science in the Cultural, Historical, and Geosciences in a new form.
