Didactics Workshop
In the Didactics Workshop, all students can prepare lessons and experiments, browse materials, try out ideas and further develop practical teaching projects. Materials from our Science Teaching Collection, our subject didactics reference library and student workspaces are available for this purpose.
The available materials and work facilities include, among others:
- microscopes
- binocular microscopes / stereomicroscopes
- teaching models
- chemicals
- our animals
- laboratory workspaces
- laboratory trolleys on which you can leave your teaching-related materials until the day of your seminar
For school experiments involving living organisms, our fish, stick insects, bees and woodlice are available. Please make sure to observe the regulations on the use and handling of living organisms in biology lessons in advance.
Relevant guidelines can be found here.
You are very welcome to come by during opening hours to use the available materials and try things out in practice. If you would like specific support with planning or testing experiments, you can arrange an appointment in advance by email. A member of staff from Science Education will then support you with the practical implementation.
