She subsequently worked in forensic molecular biology at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Freiburg, where she was involved in research and routine analysis with a focus on mitochondrial DNA sequencing.

This was followed by positions in forensic toxicology and forensic molecular biology at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, as well as in biotechnological research and development at Alopex GmbH in Kulmbach and VitraBio GmbH in Steinach, Thuringia.

Since 2012, she has worked as a technical assistant at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. In the field of science education, she supports the conception, preparation, and implementation of inquiry-based experiments in research and teaching. In doing so, she contributes her many years of experience in research, diagnostics, and biotechnological development to the training of future teachers and to the development of practical experiments for science teaching.
