13.-15.11.2025: University of Bamberg Sustainability Festival 2025

We would like to draw your attention to the diverse program of the University of Bamberg's Sustainability Festival 2025.

The Monument Sciences and the KDwt will be represented in an open lecture entitled “Cultural Heritage in Climate Change. How Monuments and History Can Shape a Sustainable Future.” The course will address the question of what happens to historic buildings when the climate changes. Short keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Paul Bellendorf, Dr.-Ing. Johannes Warda and Franziska Prell, M.A. will show how our cultural heritage is affected by climate change - and what role it can play in sustainability development. Afterwards, a discussion will invite the audience to contribute their own perspectives and think about the connection between history and the future.
