Against the backdrop of numerous challenges in educational justice in Germany, the Carina Foundation has designed various programs. These projects have great potential to improve the situation of children and families who speak a language other than German at home or are socioeconomically disadvantaged, thereby contributing to equal educational opportunities for all children.

"Kita & Co" is an educational program that focuses on creating cooperative structures to make the transition from daycare to primary school more transparent and easier for everyone involved. The project emphasizes collaboration between daycares and primary schools, working with parents, and parent education. In addition, there are qualification offerings for professionals. An innovative component of the project is a dynamic learning platform for professionals in the involved fields, which serves as the basis for educational and school development. If "Kita und Co" is well and comprehensively implemented, it is expected that the pedagogical process quality in the facilities will be enhanced. Furthermore, it will systematize the transition from daycare to primary school, increase the compatibility between daycares and primary schools, and consequently enhance the prospects of the children.

In this context, the accompanying study will shed light on the implementation quality in the participating childcare facilities. The core element is the assessment of the educational quality of the childcare facilities. As an additional quality aspect, parent collaboration in the facilities will be expanded through the implementation of a user-friendly digital family support service (Chancenreich-App). Based on the study results, practical impulses will be developed to maximize the implementation quality.
