General Assembly

The General Assembly consists of all members of the University of Bamberg who hold teaching positions in teacher training, representatives from the mid-level faculty and student representatives, the Women’s Representative and a member of the University Executive Board.

The General Assembly elects the head of each area and the Spokesperson of the Governing Board, each with a deputy, and nominates them to the University Executive Board for appointment.

The General Assembly decides on the motions submitted by the Governing Board to university committees as well as on motions for amendments to the Statutes and the Articles of Association that regulate the teacher training programme and the Bachelor’s and Master’s of Education degree programmes. It approves the business report concerning the use of ZLB funds and consults on recommendations of the Academic Advisory Board.
