BamBirds Flying High

In 2018 AI Birds competition, our BamBirds team scores great success. Will be be better than human players?

In the 2018 AI Birds competition held at IJCAI conference, our BamBirds team performed very well: we are World Vice Champion! Credits go to our great team of enthusiastic students who had been programming very hard to make this possible. After a tremendous run through the semi-finals (beating other agents 427420 to 281560 or better) we had high hopes for the finals, but were defeated by Eagle's wing – congratulations!

Next up is the human vs. machine challenge, so we can still defeat the best human player. However, that is even tougher…
