Bio
Clemens Ruck is a research associate at the University of Bamberg. His research focuses on in-database machine learning, in particular automatic differentiation and tensor computations within database systems. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich. In his bachelor's thesis (“Evaluation of Tensor Computation Libraries for Database Systems”) and his master's thesis (“Automatic Differentiation within an Open-Source Database System”), he already worked on integrating machine learning into database systems. Before joining the University of Bamberg in 2024, he worked as a research associate at Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich and developed iOS applications in the medical and health domain.
