Brief biography

Xanthi Tsoukli is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Bamberg. Xanthi completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Southern Denmark in September 2021, where she was working closely with HEDG – the Historical Economics and Development Group based in the Department of Economics. Her work is primarily concentrated in the fields of applied economics and economic history, with specific focuses on development, gender and labor.

During her PhD, as well as teaching regularly, Xanthi also gained a number of scholarships which allowed her to undertake a research stay at the University of Arizona as a visiting scholar. Xanthi holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Southern Denmark and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece.
