Brief biography

Sebastian Gechert is Head of the Unit Macroeconomics and Income Dynamics at Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK), Düsseldorf, Germany. He is an external reader (Privatdozent) at the Institute for Economics at the University of Bamberg and also the spokesperson of the Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policies (FMM), an international academic research network, as well. His Habilitation thesis was approved by Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg in 2020. Sebastian received his doctoral degree from Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany in 2014. Sebastian has published in several peer-reviewed journals like Journal of Monetary Economics, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics and Journal of Economic Surveys.
