Final Thesis Registration Information

Information sheet on steps to the BA/MA thesis (GuK/Huwi Faculties)
1.    Please review the examination and study regulations that apply to you, especially the regulations on the topic of Bachelor’s/Master’s theses, and observe the following registration requirements:

  • Prior to registration, the requirements for admission to the thesis as stipulated in your examination and study regulations must be fulfilled.
  • To be admitted, and until the submission date of your thesis, you must be regularly enrolled, i.e. you may not be on leave unless you are entitled to complete academic work during the semester on leave due to special legal provisions (e.g. parental leave, periods of care for a close relative).


The issue date for your topic must also be chosen in accordance with your examination and study regulations so that the degree programme can be completed within the maximum allowed duration of study.

2.    Send your application for admission to the BA/MA thesis from your “stud.uni-bamberg.de” email address (applications from other email addresses cannot be processed!) to huwi.pruefungen(at)uni-bamberg.de, beruflichebildung.pruefungen(at)uni-bamberg.de, guk.pruefungen(at)uni-bamberg.de, or masterdenkmalpflege.pruefungen(at)uni-bamberg.de. Please use the subject heading “Registration for thesis in the degree programme ...” and include the following information:

Surname, first name (spelling as it appears in your official identity card with all first names and, if applicable, special characters!)
Student registration number
Examinier (and if applicable second examiner)
Where applicable, the sub-discipline to which the thesis is allocated

Please check your address in FlexNow and update it using the online services if necessary.


3.    The Office of Examinations will verify the admission requirements. If the admission requirements are fulfilled, you will receive an email (including the University Archives’ right of access declaration).

4.    Please enter the approved topic, the examiner(s) and any other information and then forward the email to your examiner(s) for confirmation.


5.    The examiner or the responsible academic unit will then forward it to the Office of Examinations.

6.    After the Office of Examinations has received the confirmed topic, it will be entered in FlexNow.You will receive a final email about this.  You can view your submission deadline in FlexNow.

7.    If the FlexNow entry is not made promptly, please ask your examiner or second examiner whether the email has been forwarded to the Office of Examinations.

1. Please review the examination and study regulations that apply to you, especially the regulations on the topic of Bachelor’s/Master’s theses, and observe the following registration requirements:

• You must obtain any required supervisory commitments from the selected academic unit before submitting your application for admission.

• Prior to registration, the required number of ECTS points stipulated in your examination and study regulations must obtained.

• To be admitted, and until the submission date of your thesis, you must be regularly enrolled, i.e. you may not be on leave unless you are entitled to complete academic work during the semester on leave due to special legal provisions (e.g. parental leave, periods of care for a close relative).

 

The issue date for your topic must also be chosen in accordance with your examination and study regulations so that the degree programme can be completed within the maximum allowed duration of study.

2. Send your application for admission to the BA/MA thesis from your “stud.uni-bamberg.de” email address (applications from other email addresses cannot be processed!) to sowi.pruefungen@uni-bamberg.de. Please use the subject heading “Registration for thesis in the degree programme ...” and include the following information:

 

Surname, first name (spelling as it appears in your official identity card with all first names and, if applicable, special characters!)

Current address

Address after programme completion (for possible notifications/delivery of degree certificate). Please check your address in FlexNow and update it using the online services if necessary.

Student registration number

Degree programme

Email address (private, for possible questions/notifications)

Proposed examiner with specification of the academic unit

3. After verifying the admissions requirements, the Office of Examinations will send you the topic confirmation and the University Archives’ right of access declaration. You will also receive an information sheet to which you should adhere. At the same time, your examiner or the academic unit office will receive this notice in CC.

 

4. Please contact your examiner or the academic unit office to arrange an appointment for the issue of the topic and the signing of the topic confirmation. The issue date of the topic marks the beginning of your completion period.

 

5. The examiner or the responsible academic unit will then return the filled in topic confirmation to the Office of Examinations. This is a legal prerequisite for entering your binding topic and submission deadline in FlexNow. You can view your submission deadline in FlexNow.

 

6. You will receive a completed and signed copy of the topic confirmation at the academic unit office.

1. Please review the general examination regulations (APO) and the study and subject examination regulations (StuFPO) that apply to you, especially the regulations on the topic of Bachelor’s/Master’s theses, and observe the following registration requirements:

• You must obtain any required supervisory commitments from the selected academic unit before submitting your application for admission.

• Prior to registration, the required number of ECTS points stipulated in your APO/StuFPO must be obtained.

• The topic must be selected from the range of subjects specified in the APO/StuFPO. If applicable, an application for approval of the topic must be submitted to your examining board before applying for admission to the thesis.

• To be admitted, and until the submission date of your thesis, you must be regularly enrolled, i.e. you may not be on leave unless you are entitled to complete academic work during the semester on leave due to special legal provisions (e.g. parental leave, periods of care for a close relative).

 

The issue date for your topic must also be chosen in accordance with your APO/StuFPO so that the degree programme can be completed within the maximum allowed duration of study.

Please use the subject heading “Registration for thesis in the degree programme ...” and include the following information:
