GI Workshop 2026 in Wiesbaden
On September 23 and 24, our team participated in the 23rd workshop of the Virtual & Augmented Reality Special Interest Group of the German Informatics Society (GI) at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. Over 120 researchers gathered to exchange ideas on current developments in virtual and augmented reality.
The event kicked off with a campus tour that offered fascinating insights into various VR and AR projects at the university. Subsequently, keynote speeches, paper presentations, and demonstrations provided plenty of inspiration and opportunities for discussion. Our team also contributed to the program by presenting the paper "The Effect of Tattoos on the Perceived Trustworthiness of Virtual Characters in Virtual Environments" which investigates how tattoo designs influence the perceived trustworthiness of virtual characters.
In addition to the academic program, the joint social event offered a great opportunity for networking and personal interaction.
