Interview on tagesschau.de on the gamification of cultural consumption
Self-tracking features and gamification have long been established in fitness apps and educational applications, as they help users set goals and motivate them to achieve these goals. In contrast, self-tracking in the context of consuming books or films is still relatively new. Nevertheless, there is a growing number of online platforms that enable users to track and optimize their own behavior.
