Schloss Schney, Lichtenfels - Schney, Bayern, Germany. Built between 1680 and 1690 to replace an older fort, the castle served as the seat for the Schaumberg family's Schneyer line. Following the branch's extinction, the Brockdorff family owned the estate from 1706 until 1873. In 1950, the local sports club Freie Turnerschaft Schney purchased the building for use as a gymnasium. Today, the property is split between the sports club's gym and event facilities, and the Franken-Akademie conference center, which includes guest accommodations and a restaurant.
