Media Informatics aims at a purposeful application of single media types and multimedia systems in various application areas. It considers aspects like
- media technique,
- media design,
- media storage and retrieval as well as
- the use of media
with a focus on the development of multimedia systems.
The main focus of this chair is on media storage and retrieval and the development of domain specific multimedia applications.
