Schaeffler has joined the EHRM Programme!

The EHRM Company Projects continue! A German project partner is the Schaeffler Group.

The Schaeffler Group is a publicly listed family business, a company built on the strong values of its founders. Alongside a strong will to achieve success, the Schaeffler Group’s corporate culture consists of its people’s willingness and ability to challenge themselves, try new approaches, and take a long-term view. At Schaeffler, to strive for success is to strive for superior quality and first-class technology.

These values have led to the Schaeffler Group becoming a leading global automotive and industrial supplier with over 83,300 employees. Under the motto "We pioneer motion", the company offers solutions for CO2-efficient drives as well as rolling and plain bearings for a wide range of industrial applications, monitoring systems, and services. In 2020, the technology company generated sales of around 12.6 billion euros and is present at around 200 locations in over 50 countries.

We, the Chair of HRM & OB and the other international universities were very pleased to include the Schaeffler Group in the EHRM Programme. When asked why Schaeffler decided to join the EHRM Programme Monika Pietrzyk, Head of People & Culture of the Region Europe, replied as follows:

This is a great opportunity to connect with young talent from all over Europe who will help shape HR in the future. From our students we get a fresh perspective on our processes and valuable input for our team. At the same time, the students gain insights into the professional field of HR.

Two participating students from Belgium and the Netherlands became part of the Personnel Development Europe team for the duration of the programme. They are asked to plan, implement, and evaluate a complex and Europe-wide consulting project in the context of human resource management. They can rely on the support of the University of Bamberg and the Schaeffler Group to meet any challenges they may face!
