Recognition of Credit from Prior Studies

If you would like to have credits from prior studies at another university recognised, please first get in touch with the

programme’s subject advisor

.

Please have the following things ready for the first talk:

  • your transcript of records
  • or other proof of completed study and examination credit
  • and the applicable module handbook from your university.

Credits obtained elsewhere must subsequently be confirmed by the relevant Art History subject advisor.

If you have changed your studies within the University of Bamberg from another subject to Art History as a core or major subject, or you have changed within the bachelor’s degree programme to another configuration of Art History that has more ECTS points, please contact the programme’s subject advisor for consultation and further information regarding the corresponding credit recognition options and which semester of study you will be placed in.

Recognition of credit earned abroad

Study and examination credit earned abroad can be recognised if they meet equivalent requirements to those for the bachelor’s or master’s degree programme in Art History at the University of Bamberg in terms of content and examination requirements.

You can find detailed information on the credit recognition and transfer process on the Studying abroad: credit recognition webpages (in German).
