The Chair of Population Studies focuses on demographic and health outcomes over the life-course in the context of population ageing.

Current and future research dedicated to population ageing and the life course focuses on

• institutional and structural effects on late careers,
• the socioeconomic status-health gradient over the life span,
• and the exchange of material and immaterial resources between generations.
