4. Using SplitsTree

Generally, there are many different ways to use SplitsTree4, which are limited only by the user’s ability to use the syntax. In the following part of this website I want to introduce two different ways to compare data, hoping that this gives the reader a general idea about the options available in SplitsTree4.

Starting with the Simple Data chapter is highly recommended, even if you are familiar with computers and / or programming languages. SplitsTree4s syntax has some peculiarities that need getting used to and the first example offers an easily accessible introduction to working with the software.
