The MA programme General Linguistics

Short description

The master's programme in General Linguistics in Bamberg can be studied full-time or part-time, equivalent to a two-year full-time course of study with a total of 120 ECTS credit points. Itis especially tailored for graduates with a focus on linguistics in their first degrees. The core part of the program is taught in English. Admission to the programme is possible without German language skills, although we encourage our students to learn German as much as possible during their time here. Linguistics in Bamberg is primarily empirically oriented. Students are encouraged to work on actual language data, from a wide variety of different languages, in particular lesser-known languages and varieties.
