Motivation: I want to learn more about international politics, and I find it exciting to represent a state, which I rarely knew before. NMUN widens one’s horizon. Motivation: Studies show that one of the most common regrets of elderly people is missing out on opportunities they gave up because of fear or lack of time. Having both of these in my pocket, and the wonderful opportunity to join a worldwide famous initiative of the United Nations – NMUN, I decided to take away at least one reason for my future regrets.

Motivation: The aspects which are the most interesting ones in my opinion and why I decided to participate at the NMUN Project are that I really wanted to understand the structures and processes behind the UN more, and to learn about the culture and political interests of other countries and to acquaint oneself in other different interesting perspectives. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet young people from all over the world in the conference in New York City and discuss international global issues for example world hunger, climate change and poverty. Additional I always wanted to visit New York, Washington D.C., and Berlin.

Life Motto: What's normal anyways?

Wiebke Laura Wentzler

Studies: M.Sc. International Business Administration

Organizational Team: Public Relations Team

Committee: Security Council (SC)

Motivation: Participating in a simulation project like NMUN allows me to expand my knowledge of international politics and how international organizations work. Moreover, taking on the role of a delegate promotes, among other things, soft skills of diplomacy, as well as giving speeches. I am looking forward to the challenge of learning about and adopting the perspective of another country in order to assert its interests.
