3.2 How to use Praat

If Praat is opened, two windows appear: the object-window and the graphics-window. Charts, diagrams or graphics can only be created in the graphics-window. However, the average user will probably never use the graphics-window; hence, it can be closed immediately. In contrast, the object-window is of main concern. In this window all sound objects are managed. Unfortunately, it is not possible to open more than one object-window or to change the order of the objects in this window.
