**Title:** The Logical Expressive Power of Graph Neural Networks. **Speaker:** Prof. Dr. Carsten Lutz, Leipzig University. **Abstract:** Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have emerged as one of the most prominent models for machine learning on graph-structured data. Over the past few years, significant effort has gone into characterizing their exact expressive power in terms of well-established formalisms such as various logical languages and the Weisfeiler-Leman graph isomorphism test. In this talk, I will present an overview of these developments, with particular emphasis on modal logic.
