Advisory Council for Women's Issues

The central administrative committee of the Women's Representatives at the university is the Advisory Council for Women's Issues. This includes the Women's Representatives of the university, their deputy, the Women's Representatives of the faculties, and two elected female student representatives.

The Women's Advisory Council meets three times per semester to discuss current problems, questions, and upcoming activities. These meetings are open to all members of the university. All interested individuals are expressly welcome to take part in ongoing work and planning.


The next meeting of the Women's Advisory Council will take place on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020, at 3.00 p.m.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Women's Advisory Council is meeting online via MS Teams. Since the meetings are open to all members of the university, interested parties can request access to the virtual meeting room via email (frauenbuero.frauenbeauftrage(at)uni-bamberg.de).

Student Representatives

The female student representatives act as contact persons for female students who are affected by discrimination or sexual harassment or who have questions about the work of the Women's Representatives and the Women's Office. They represent the female students of the University of Bamberg and their concerns on the Women's Advisory Council, and they report to the Women's Representatives on incidents that affect students. The student body elects two female student representatives for the Women's Advisory Council every two years; they do not necessarily have to be part of the Student Representation (Studierendenvertretung), but they should be interested in supporting women’s issues and the anti-discrimination work of the Women's Advisory Council.
