In the student survey, as part of the CHE ranking, the Applied Computer Science and Software Systems Science bachelor's programs achieved excellent results: very good grades were achieved in more than two thirds of the indicators.
"I am particularly pleased with the extremely good results of our bachelor's degree programs in terms of the science-related teaching", says Prof. Dr. Ute Schmid, (editor's note: meanwhile former) Dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics and Applied Informatics Professor of Applied Informatics, who oversees the CHE ranking for informatics. “This confirms our concept of research-oriented teaching and learning: We offer a triad of classic lectures and exercises, seminars and projects, which often take place in small groups. Through scientifically current and often interdisciplinary topics as well as concrete programming-technical implementations, our students deal theoretically and practically with innovative and current topics, for example from the area of machine learning.
