New double degree in the Masters program European Economic Studies (EES) in cooperation with the University of Verona
The University of Verona (Italy) and the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg have signed a new double degree agreement between the Master's programme "International Economics and Business (IEB)" at the University of Verona and the Master's programme "European Economic Studies (EES)" at the University of Bamberg. The core study subject at both universities is economics.
"The joint programme enables participants to study economics in a profound and modern way from a pan-European perspective in a transnational environment. In cooperation with an excellent partner university, the double degree guarantees an international qualification that takes the current developments into account and meets the highest standards", explains the EES programme coordinator, Professor Dr. Marco Sahm.
Internationality, an explicit focus on Europe as well as a distinctive perspective on behavioural economics in combination with interdisciplinarity are key features of the EES programme (MSc.) at the University of Bamberg. An extensive elective area in economics allows students to specialise individually and supports the development of an independent profile.
The master programme IEB in Verona includes a tailored combination of courses, project work and other learning experiences, which are deliberately divided between "International Economics" and "International Business". International teachers are regularly invited to give lectures on specific sub-areas within the courses. In the MSc. IEB programme, students are equipped with tools and knowledge in various topics of economic internationalisation processes that prepare them excellently for jobs in leadership roles and consulting positions in international companies and organisations.
Students from both universities spend two semesters at the home university and two semesters at the partner university. Successful graduates receive both the Master IEB and the Master EES, as intended, without an extension of the study period.
