Juan Carlos Peña graduated his Bachelor's Degree in Business Science with focus on International Trade and Financial Accounting at the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador. Then, he studied at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg the master program Economics where he received his degree in April 2016. He wrote his Master Thesis about the topic „Dollarization in Ecuador: Performance, Problems and Alternatives". Since July 2017 Juan Carlos Peña works as scientific assistant at the Professorship for Economics, esp. applied Economic Research, Prof. Dr. Christian Proaño.
