Open Access funds for assistance with publication fees
The management of the University encourages its scientists to publish their work in open access magazines and to serve as peer reviewers for open access magazines. The central open access fund is available to help with publication fees of peer-reviewed open access magazines. The following criteria have to be met:
- The articles to be published will appear in magazines that are "real open access magazines" where all contributions are (I) subject to strict, recognised quality control procedures and (II) immediately made available to internet users for free.
- Publication frees do not exceed the amount of 2,000 euros per essay.
- As the "submitting authors" or "corresponding authors", researchers at the Otto Friedrich University are responsible for paying the publication fees.
All members of the University may apply for open access funds:
The University Library will check if the requirements for assistance with open access fees have been met. Once the resources have been released by the Registrar, the invoice will be paid by the University Library.
