Loreen Beier, born in 1983, majored in Sociology at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg.
From 2008 to 2012, she has been working as a researcher at the Institute for Family Research (ifb) in Bamberg. From 2012 to 2014, she was a researcher in the project "Educational Processes, Competence Development and Selection Decisions in Pre- and Primary School Age" (BiKS) at Bamberg University. 2014 to 2017, she was a lecturer at the Chair of Sociology 1. Since 04/2018 she is part of the project 'Determinants of the emergence of gender-specific patterns of competencies and decision making over the educational career in Germany’, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
Her research interests include education, family, gender, life courses and competencies.
