The Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Psychology at the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education at the University of Bamberg has limited admission. Starting your studies for the Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is only possible in the winter semester. You can study full-time or part-time. The standard program duration is six semesters (ECTS points: 180).
In June 2021, the Psychology B.Sc. degree programme at the University of Bamberg received the seal of quality of the German Psychological Society (DGPs).
The Psychology B.Sc. degree programme has a polyvalent character; it qualifies the students for various psychological professions. Depending on the professional internships they select, students who have completed their B.Sc. in Psychology can transition to an M.Sc. degree programme in Clinical Psychology necessary to obtain a license for practicing as a psychotherapist (“Approbation”). They can also transition to different M.Sc. degree programmes in Psychology that do not have a clinical orientation.
