Sebastian Jungkunz is a post-doctoral Associate Member at the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences. He received a diploma in political science from the University of Bamberg in 2013 after an interim stay at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, USA. In 2014 he was also employed in the DFG project “Foreign and security policy attitudes in the USA and Germany” at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). In 2019 he was a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Political Science at Waseda University, Tokyo. He teaches seminars in conceptual fields of political sociology, as well as introductory and advanced methods of quantitative data analysis on bachelor and master level. His research interests are in the fields of quantitative methods, data analysis, data visualization, opinion research, political and social psychology, populism and political extremism. Since March 2020 he works as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Socio-Economics at the University of Duisburg-Essen and as Visiting Fellow at the BAGSS.
