M. Sc. Admission
Prerequisite: The EES master’s degree programme features open admission, but you have to apply. Admission to the EES master's programme can be obtained both by graduates of the Bamberg EES bachelor's programme and by internal and external students who have completed another (domestic or foreign) degree programme in economics, the social or natural sciences, or mathematics. Beginning in the 2015/16 winter semester, applicants must verify a final mark of the German 2,5 or better!
More information about the application process (required documents, deadlines, etc.) can be found on the Office of the Academic Registrar’swebsite.
If not all required documents are available at the time of application, the admission qualification may be issued on the condition that missing documents (for example the bachelor’s degree certificate) be submitted during the first semester of master’s studies. Should missing documents not be submitted on time or a degree with final mark of 2,5 or better cannot be verified, your studies cannot be continued!
Please be aware:
The EES master’s degree is an advanced and methodologically demanding master's degree programme in economics. Therefore, prior knowledge – especially in the areas of economics, statistics/econometrics and mathematics – is strongly recommended.
Application submission and commencement of studies are possible in both the winter and summer semesters.
- Depending on the choice of electives, the entire specialisation portion of the master’s programme can be completed in English. However, at least a portion of the basic curriculum is taught in German.
- The language requirements can be found on the International Office website.
Different deadlines apply for foreign applicants. Be sure to contact the International office at auslandsamt (at) uni-bamberg.de as soon as possible and/or consult the information on their website.
