Students of political science have the possibility to study one or two semesters of their bachelor or master studies at the renowned Sciences Po Lille - Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Lille.

Studying at a French university of excellence

Founded in 1991, the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Lille is one of France's grandes écoles, which, as elite universities outside the public university system, are known for their excellent study conditions and are therefore particularly selective in the selection of their students. The Institutes d'Etudes Politiques (IEP) enjoy a high status in France: here the next generation of the French civil service is trained. Currently, 1700 students are enrolled at the institute, including 180 international students.

Wide range of courses

The courses offered cover the subject areas of economics, geography, sociology, history, international relations, law, and political science and are held mainly in French, although there are also courses in English and German.

Living in Lille means living in the heart of Europe

The institute is centrally located in the heart of Europe: three of the most important European capitals can be easily reached by train from Lille (to Brussels approx. 30 min, to Paris approx. 60 min, to London approx. 90 min). Lille is the fourth largest metropolitan region in France. The city itself has about 250,000 inhabitants, of which about 100,000 are students. Thus, the city has truly earned the designation "student city".  The European Capital of Culture 2004 still offers a wide range of cultural activities throughout the year. Even night owls will not be disappointed: on rue royale, rue Masséna and rue Solférino young people meet in pubs and clubs and can party until dawn.

Applications for the program

Applications for a stay should be sent to the International Office of the University of Bamberg. Information on the application procedure and exchange programs.
