Jobs at libraries and institutions that provide information

There are a number of interesting jobs and vocational qualifications if you are interested in libraries, information science, documentation and archives. In Bavaria, the training to become a librarian at the 3rd and 4th qualification levels takes place at the Bavarian Library Academy and at the Archives and Library Faculty of the Technical College for Public Administration and Judicature located in Munich.

Since autumn 2013, the Bamberg University Library has been training employees in Media and Information Services (FaMI), the major being library studies.

At the Bamberg University Library, prospective librarians regularly do placements as part of their vocational training.
