Archaeological Massive Open Online Courses

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are online courses that are offered over a certain period and in regular repetition by renowned universities or research institutes. They usually focus on a special topic and are also aimed at students who are interested in topics that may not be offered at their university. This means that MOOCs should be seen as a supplement to the course offerings of your university. Talk to your lecturers to what extent it could possibly be credited. Participation in the courses is free. Some however, require a fee for the certificate. Philipp Friedrich (student assistant at Digtal Geoarchaeology) has put together various courses on archaeology, GIS and remote sensing (updated 27-10-2020).
