Since 2006 Dr. Jesús Pachecho Martinez has been teaching and conducting research at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. From 2014 till 2015 he was guest professor at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS), University of Miami. He has a particular interest in applying and developing methods to measure how changing environmental circumstances, such as traffic increase or subsidence (gorund water removal leading to lowering surface), impact historic buildings.

Apart from his involvement in our Monitoring Heritage 2018 - International Summer School will Dr. Pacheco from July 20 - August 8 take part in activities of the IVGA. After Till Sonnemann had the opportunity to twice conduct research and teach in Mexico, by invitation of the University of Aguascalientes in 2013 and 2014, thanks to central Bamberg university funding we were able to invite Dr. Pacheco as a guest professor  this year.

In addition he will give a talk 5 July, 2018, at 17:15 room 01.04 Am Zwinger 6, at the KDWT. Topic: "Microseismic measurements applied to the structural analysis of heritage buildings"
