International guests at IVGA through financial support from BayFOR

Dr. Joseph Sony Jean (Leiden University), Dr. William Megarry (Queen's University, Belfast), and Jerry Michel, MA, technical director of Haiti's Bureau National d’Ethnologie (BNE) met from Nov. 29- Dec. 2 by invitation from Prof. Sonnemann and with generous support from the Bayerische Hochschulförderprogramm zur Anbahnung internationaler Forschungskooperationen (BayFOR/BayIntAn) in Bamberg, to discuss the planned research project Lands of Dominion and Oppression: Uncovering the Hidden History of the Global Slave Trade in Haiti.
