Michael Schering M.A.
Michael Schering is a research assistant at the Chair for the Governance of Complex and Innovative Technological Systems. He has studied Anglo-American culture and political science at the University of Bamberg.
The Digital Revolution has sparked his interest in the interrelationship of social and technological developments. He primarily focuses on the question in how far cultural conditions shape technology and how technologies can be democratized considering these cultural influences. This requires him to combine cultural theories with conventional explanatory models.
He is a trained correspondence clerk and state-approved translator and has worked in a craftsman's business for some time.
In his spare time, he studies the potential of new media to tell stories, explores the Franconian Switzerland on his mountain bike or listens to acoustic music from artists like Andrew Jackson Jihad, Harley Poe and Pat the Bunny.
