Anja Gärtig-Daugs studied health economics at the University of Bayreuth with focus on public health and information systems. She also received her doctoral degree (Dr. rer. pol.) in economics from the University of Bayreuth.
After completing her studies, she worked as an epidemiologist at the Population-based Cancer Registry of Bavaria, as a research associate and lecturer at the Chair of Population Science at the University ofBamberg and as a consultant for social volunteerism at Malteser Hilfsdienst e. V. Since 2012, she has been working as research associate at the Chair of Applied Computer Science / Cognitive Systems at the University of Bamberg. Her research interests lie in the field of empirical research.
