The MA program in a nutshell
Since winter semester 2013/2014, the department has been offering the MA program “General Linguistics”. This academic program is especially tailored for graduates with a focus on linguistics in their first degrees. The core part of the program is taught in English. Linguistics in Bamberg is primarily empirically oriented. Students are encouraged to work on actual language data, from a wide variety of different languages, in particular lesser-known languages and varieties.
