2019 Griesenbach, Westerwald

We had been invited by the heritage society of Griesenbach (Rhineland-Palatine), to search for the remains of a second world war Lancaster bomber, which had crashed in this location in 1944. The field survey was conducted together with Dr. Jan-Philipp Schmoldt (Tauber Geophysics) and took place Oktober 7-8 2019. A variety of geophysical methods (electromagnetics, magnetometry, and GPR) were trialled.
