Change in the Submission Procedure for Final Theses

• Digital submission: The official submission is carried out via the Examination Office Form Server. From there, the thesis (PDF format) is transmitted to the Examination Office and subsequently forwarded to the chair.
• Submission to the chair: In addition, one printed, single-sided black-and-white and bound copy (spiral binding is sufficient) must be submitted to the chair’s office on the submission date.
• Submission of a USB stick: Together with the printed version, a USB stick must be submitted containing the following files:
  • the thesis in PDF and Word format, as well as
  • all supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, transcripts, literature tables).

Dear Students,

the application period for theses with a processing period in the summer semester 2026 begins on January 15, 2026. We will accept applications up to and including February 28, 2026.

The list of topics, the regulations, and the application procedure for master’s theses can be found in the respective VC course.
The list of topics for master’s theses has also been published.

Students who wish to write a bachelor’s thesis can complete the online application form directly. 
An online form is also available for applications for master’s theses.

We would like to emphasize once again that it makes no difference when you submit your application within the deadline.
All applications submitted on time will be treated equally.

Please note the following:

• Cooperative theses: Due to a research stay, no cooperative theses will be possible in the summer semester 2026.
• Supervision capacity: We will be able to supervise significantly fewer theses than in previous semesters due to organizational capacity.
• Application advice: We therefore recommend also applying to other chairs to increase your chances of securing a thesis topic.
• Application forms: The online application forms will only be available once the application period begins.

We would like to inform you that the registration period for seminars in the winter semester 2025/2026 runs from 11 September 2025, 12:00 noon until 8 October 2025, 11:59 p.m. Registration via Flexnow is not required for lectures and tutorials!

Please note that different registration periods apply for the course "Business-to-Business Markets" (Bachelor level) & "Blockchain Applications for Business" (Master level), which are offered via the VHB.

Reminder: A Flexnow enrolment does not necessarily mean that you will be able to attend the course. The main criterion for admission is the student's progress and field of study. The order of enrolment ("first come, first served") does not matter.

• For seminars: The password for the VC course is sent to the participants of the course at the beginning of the semester.

• For lectures and tutorials: You will receive the VC password in the first course session.

Please note: Registration for the Research Seminar International Marketing is not yet possible. Further information about this course will follow in the coming weeks.
