<p>On Monday, June 22, 2026, our colleague Susen Halank <strong>successfully defended her dissertation titled “A Poem’s Other Life: Prose-Poetry Practices as Space-Claiming Techniques in the Letters of Emily Dickinson, Elizabeth Bishop, and Sylvia Plath.”</strong> We offer her our warmest congratulations!</p>
<p>We also congratulate her to her on winning the <a href="https://www.emilydickinsoninternationalsociety.org/all-updates/2026-edis-graduate-student-fellowship-award-susan-halank" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer"><strong>2026 EDIS Graduate Student Fellowship</strong></a>, an award presented annually by the Emily Dickinson International Society.</p>
