When languages connect. Interdisciplinary perspectives on multilingualism in a Middle Eastern context

This course features a series of presentations by leading international scholars on multilingualism and language contact in the Middle East. Topics covered include Middle Eastern languages in a migration context, language ideologies, and language contact. The full programme is available here(376.2 KB) and on the right.

For students at Bamberg and Erlangen who are attending the course as part of a degree programme and who require ECTS credits, there is a series of accompanying seminars (Wednesdays, also via Zoom, details will be sent to registered students); the course details, including the dates of the accompanying seminars (Einzeltermine) are available here:
