Announcing a publicly available webinar offered by the CSME:

When languages connect. Interdisciplinary perspectives on multilingualism in a Middle Eastern context

This course features a series of presentations by leading international scholars on multilingualism and language contact in the Middle East. Topics covered include Middle Eastern languages in a migration context, language ideologies, and language contact. The full programme is available here(376.2 KB) and on the right.

Seminars take place via Zoom conference, on a series of Mondays at 18:00, starting on 11th November 2020. To obtain the link, please send a request to admin.aspra(at)uni-bamberg.de with WEBINAR-LINK in the subject line.

For students at Bamberg and Erlangen who are attending the course as part of a degree programme and who require ECTS credits, there is a series of accompanying seminars (Wednesdays, also via Zoom, details will be sent to registered students); the course details, including the dates of the accompanying seminars (Einzeltermine) are available here:
