Getting There

By Train

InterCity Express Berlin-Munich stops in Bamberg. Trains depart to almost all major German cities on a hourly basis. You can access the IC- / ICE- feeder lines from and to Stuttgart, Frankfurt or Hamburg in Würzburg or Nürnberg.See www.bahn.de for timetables and lines.

Frankfurt – Bamberg

By Car

From Nuernberg coming, drive highway A73 and use exit "Memmelsdorf". From Schweinfurt coming, drive highway A70 and use exit "Bamberg-Zentrum". For how to reach the university location "Feldkirchenstraße 21" please refer to this map, or  www.stadplan.net.

By Plane

The nearest international airport is Nürnberg Airport. Using the subway U12 you get in about 12 minutes to Nürnberg main station where you catch a connection to Bamberg. However, arriving from abroad, connection from Frankfurt/Main Airport or München Airport are often better.

From the train station

When you leave the station, turn to the right. You can take the buses number 901 or 931. and exit at stop "Kloster-Banz-Straße". After crossing Zollnerstraße you are in the Feldkirchenstraße. In the building

Entering the main door, there is a stair to your lefthand side. Go up to the first floor and walk down the corridor on your left. At the end of the corridor is room 125. If you need an elevator: stay on the ground floor and go left until the end of the corridor through the door on the left is the elevator. Go to the first floor and pass through the glass door. You are immediately before room 125.
