Prof. Dr. Astrid Schütz

Astrid Schütz received her Ph.D. in psychology with minors in sociology and education in 1992 from the University of Bamberg. She has been a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Virginia and a visiting scholar at Case Western Reserve University before she became an Associate Professor at Chemnitz University of Technology. In 2011 she joined the University of Bamberg where she now holds the chair of Personality and Assessment and is Director of the Centre of Personnel Psychology.

Her research focuses on personality in social relationships. She studies self-esteem, narcissism and emotional intelligence in social interactions and devices tools for training and assessment.

 

She is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles and the author/editor of over 30 books in the area personality and assessment.
