General information on the B.A./M.A. programme “Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies”

In winter semester 2003/04 the 6 semester B.A. programme “Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies”  was introduced at the University of Bamberg, Centre for Medieval Studies, as one of the first B.A. programmes in Germany at all and as first B.A. programme at the University of Bamberg.

The latest developments concerning the general framework of  B.A./M.A. programmes and the experience drawn from the degree programme so far led to a fundamental reform and enhancements of the programme which was carried out in summer semester 2007. Also in summer 2007 an independent M.A. programme “Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies” was established, that can be studied in a consecutive or not consecutive form and takes four semesters. The M.A. programme builds on a corresponding B.A. programme (or equal studies at university of at least 6 semesters).
