Jutta von Maurice

Jutta von Maurice, born in Dillingen/Saar, Germany (1967), studied psychology at the University of Trier. She received her diploma in 1993 with a thesis on the effects of chance events and interests on decision-making behaviour in college freshmen. After this, she was a doctoral research fellow at the University of Trier. She received her doctorate in 2004 with a thesis on intergenerational interest relations from the perspective of person-environment fit theory. From 2002 to 2004, she worked at the Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) in Trier, designing and implementing a data archive for psychological research data there. Since 2005, she has been a member of the interdisciplinary BiKS project at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. Between 2005 and 2008, she was responsible for planning and coordinating longitudinal studies on educational processes, competence development, and selection decisions in pre-school- and elementary-school-aged children within the BiKS project. Since 2008, she has been a member of the central coordination management of the NEPS project; and in January 2009 she became the Executive Director of Research of NEPS and now coordinates the research activities of the Educational Panel Study. Furthermore, she collaborates with the NEPS advisory council and coordinates the scientific planning of the various panel waves. Her research interests are in the fields of vocational psychology, developmental psychology, and quantitative research methods.
